Study the past to predict the future…

Twenty years ago, Steven Spielberg’s Minority Report told a tale of a police force using the insights of clairvoyant “precogs” to analyze data so they could arrest and convict murderers before they committed crimes. While that movie was set in 2054, artificial intelligence (AI) is already yielding insights that we couldn’t have fathomed back when this movie was released.

We may not yet be able to predict pandemics before they start, but half of healthcare executives reported that they’re already using AI in a recent survey. AI is helping health systems address burnout, schedule appointments with robotic process automation, improve billing, increase the accuracy of diagnostics, parse conversations with natural language processing tools, reduce the risks associated with social determinants of health, and more. If you haven’t yet set a strategy to implement AI, there’s no time like the present. Let’s get started.
